PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain necessary regenerative brake power even for a hybrid work vehicle mounting therein an engine with low displacement.SOLUTION: A hybrid work vehicle comprises: variable displacement hydraulic pumps 9 and 301 driven by a generator motor 5 driven by an engine 1; hydraulic actuators 12, 13, 14, and 304 driven by pressure oil supplied from the variable displacement hydraulic pumps 9 and 301; and travel motors 7F and 7R driven by electric power from an electrical storage device 3 and the generator motor 5 and for applying travel drive power to wheels, the electrical storage device 3 being charged with regenerative electric power generated by the travel generator motors 7F and 7R during regenerative braking. The hybrid work vehicle further comprises a main controller 100 for controlling tilt amounts of the variable displacement hydraulic pumps 9 and 301 so as to increase a load of the generator motor 5 if the regenerative electric power from the travel motors 7F and 7R exceeds chargeable electric power of the electrical storage device 3. |
