PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black composition which offers good adhesion to an organic layer, a color tone that provides superior appearance, and superior stability when used for display devices, and to provide a high-quality black coating film suitable for decoration of touch panels using the same.SOLUTION: A black composition contains at least two types of organic pigments (A), a binder resin (B), and a silane coupling agent (C). When the black composition is coated to form a coating film under a condition that a film thickness should be 2.0 μm, a light transmittance thereof in an entire wavelength range of 400-700 nm shall be 25% or less, and adhesion of a black coating film layer made of the black composition to an organic layer as measured by means of a grid adhesion test method shall be less than 10 peeled squares per 100 squares.
