<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange an EGR cooler without increasing a piping space, and to improve fuel consumption.SOLUTION: A cooling water outlet 26 and an inflow port 16a of a water pump 10 provided at a cylinder head 2 are connected by a return pipe 27, and an EGR cooler 30 is interposed in the middle of the return pipe 27. Therefore, the whole amount of cooling water passes through the EGR cooler 30. As the EGR cooler 30 does not require dedicated piping, even when there is no extra space in an engine room, the EGR cooler 30 is installed, and fuel consumption can be improved through the improvement of filling efficiency. By arranging the EGR cooler 30 between a catalyst converter 19 and the water pump 10, it can be suppressed that auxiliary machines such as the water pump 10 and the like are affected by heat damage of the catalyst converter 19.</p> |
