A lead is connected to a printed-circuit element 3 on an insulating plate 1 covered by another plate 2, by driving it through the plates and conductor so that it is frictionally held, the lead being heated before it is driven into the plates if the latter are of thermoplastic material. The end of the lead may be flattened, as shown at b, or two pins or a flat strip of sheet-metal may be connected to the lead and driven through the conductor (Fig. 2, not shown). The method of connection may also be used where circuit elements are printed on both sides of a plate (Fig. 3, not shown).
