<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission which can be made compact in size by shortening a radial interval between an idler shaft and a drive pulley shaft while suppressing the elongation of a shaft length when viewing the transmission as a whole, and can simplify oil passages of a switching operation fluid and a lubricant of a reverse clutch.SOLUTION: In a continuously variable transmission having an input shaft 5, a drive pulley shaft 6, a driven pulley shaft 7 and an idler shaft 8 for reversing input rotation, a reverse clutch 12b and a reverse drive gear 12a are arranged at a portion at an opposite side of a forward clutch 9b with respect to a drive pulley 19 of the idler shaft 8, a reverse driven gear 6c is arranged at a portion at an opposite side of the forward clutch 9b with respect to the drive pulley 19 of the drive pulley shaft 6, and the drive pulley 19 is arranged between the reverse clutch 12b and the forward clutch 9b.</p> |
