<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce discomfort feeling or unpleasant feeling caused by operation sound of a fuel pump transmitted to the inside of a vehicle and perceived by an occupant when an internal combustion engine is started.SOLUTION: A control device is for an internal combustion engine in which energization is started when an ignition switch is turned on and, on condition that a starter switch is turned on after the ignition switch is turned on, cranking for starting the internal combustion engine is started. The control device performs control of: prohibiting operation of a fuel pump before the starter switch is turned on; starting operation of the fuel pump when the starter switch is turned on; starting drive of a starter after passage of a delay time from operation start of the fuel pump; and setting the delay time short according as a parameter influencing the ease of starting the internal combustion engine takes a value advantageous for starting the internal combustion engine.</p> |
