PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode used suitably as an electrode for a liquid passing type capacitor, having a small electrode resistance, and excellent in durability.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrode having a porous electrode layer and an ion exchange layer laminated in this order on a collector layer. The ion exchange layer contains an ion exchanger (A), and a penetration depth into the porous electrode layer is 0.8μm or more.
