<p>The present invention relates to a welding apparatus to manufacture a welding pipe for a compression container applied to a compressor of an air conditioner and a refrigerator and to a method for pipe welding using the same. The welding apparatus having a shield box comprises: a welding means welding a roll-bent base material; and a shield box provided in a position facing the welding means based on the base material to seal a back portion of the welded portion with a shield gas during welding so as to prevent impurities from being mixed in the back portion of the welded portion.
