摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for detecting a position of an underground object using a magnetic marker capable of correctly recognizing a position of a pipe by estimating the position and the depth of an underground object by detecting intensity of a magnetic field generated from a magnetic marker attached to an underground object. According to the present invention, the apparatus for detecting a position of an underground object using a magnetic marker comprises: a magnetic marker installed in one side of an underground object to output a magnetic field for detecting a position; and a marker detector including at least one detection sensor to output a magnetic force by detecting the magnetic field of the magnetic marker, to express the position of the magnetic marker according to intensity of the magnetic field detected through at least one detection sensor, and to estimate the depth according to a magnetic force detected through at least one detection sensor based on the set depth corresponding to magnetic force data according to a type and a number of the magnetic marker.</p>
