PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an initialization timing for an internal interface by detecting the state of an external interface connected to the internal interface.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus including an internal interface and an external interface connected to the internal interface is controlled such that when it is detected that the external interface is put in a specific state before the initialization processing of the internal interface is performed in accordance with power supply, the internal interface is initialized by a first start system, and that when the state of the external interface is not detected before the initialization processing of the internal interface is performed in accordance with power supply, the internal interface is initialized by a second start system different from the first start system. |
