PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measuring device that is not located near a residue exhaust port of an electric furnace except for temperature measuring work and enabling an operator to perform visual insertion work.SOLUTION: A temperature measuring device 100 comprises: a vehicle 20 having wheels 21 and a heat-resistance glass protection window 24 arranged in the front and including a driver compartment 23 into which an operator B gets; a lifting mechanism 30 including two masts 32 spaced apart in a horizontal direction and supported on a front portion of the vehicle 20, and a lifting table 31 that can move up and down along the masts 32 and having an opening 31a formed therein; a frame 41 supported to be rotatable with respect to the lifting table 31 in a longitudinal direction via a hinge 42; a tilt mechanism 40 changing a tilt angle of the frame 41 with respect to the lifting table 31; a temperature measuring lance 11 having a tip end to which a temperature measuring probe 10 is attached; and a moving mechanism 50 moving the temperature measuring lance 11 in an insertion direction and an opposite direction to the insertion direction along the frame 41.
