PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent capable of controlling the orientation of liquid crystal molecules in vertical and horizontal directions for a substrate, a liquid crystal composition, and a liquid crystal display device and the manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: The present invention is a liquid crystal aligning agent including a dendrimer having a core and a dendron connected to the core and having an azo group and a cinnamate group. The present invention is also a liquid crystal composition including a liquid crystal component and the liquid crystal aligning agent. The present invention is also a liquid crystal display device in which a liquid crystal layer is held between a pair of substrates. The liquid crystal layer is the liquid crystal composition. The present invention is also a manufacturing method of the liquid crystal display device which irradiates polarized light UV to the liquid crystal composition after the liquid crystal composition is introduced between the pair of substrates.
