<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can use outdoors a gesture input as input means to be easily handled by a portable ITC terminal system and is performed by a monocular camera of a small scale, requiring the use of image enhancement as preprocessing to eliminate shadow, and the image enhancement requiring a large amount of arithmetic operations even though a method for extracting feature amounts for separating a background from a foreground as such a method and constructing a background model corresponding to the feature amounts of them to make a determination on the basis of a difference between an input feature amount and the background model is known, which means that an ITC terminal requires high power consumption and is difficult to be miniaturized and inhibits application to a portable terminal, especially a wearable terminal.SOLUTION: An environment is created, in which shadow elimination equal to image enhancement preprocessing having heavy arithmetic operation amounts can be performed by preparing a conversion region feature amount and a color average feature amount by a one-frame input image and switching the conversion region and the color average feature amount in accordance with a feature of the background.</p> |
