<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device capable of suppressing developer leakage in configurations in which the end of a seal member is extended to the outside of the end of a development roller.SOLUTION: A development device includes: a development roller 31 having a roller main body 31B configured to carry developer; a frame 100 configured to support the development roller 31 in a rotatable manner; and an elastically deformable seal member 200 arranged between both end parts of the roller main body 31B and the frame 100. The seal member 200 is configured such that an outside end 202 of the seal member 200 is positioned outside an end 31E of the roller main body 31B in the rotation axis direction of the development roller 31. The seal member 200 has a slit 240 extended in the rotation direction of the development roller 31 on a contact surface 221 which comes into contact with the roller main body 31B. The slit 240 is positioned inside an end 31E of the roller main body 31B in the rotation axis direction of the development roller 31.</p> |
