<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an automatic transmission capable of improving durability by preventing generation of a region of high rotation, in neutral during travelling of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission 10 includes first to forth planetary gears and six engagement elements including a second clutch and a second brake engaged in neutral in stopping a vehicle, and three engagement elements are engaged in forward movement ten speed stages and a backward movement stage. A control portion 1 for controlling the automatic transmission 10 includes a neutral mode selecting portion 32 for selecting a first N mode where the second clutch and the second brake are engaged with each other, and a second N mode for engaging the second clutch, for example, according to a vehicle speed in neutral during traveling. By selecting the second N mode where the second brake is not engaged, for example, under a traveling condition that the region of high rotation generates inside of the automatic transmission 10, the generation of the region of high rotation can be prevented and durability is improved.</p> |
