PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct geometrical distortion of a projection image to have the maximum area of a presentation image.SOLUTION: When one of intersections of a rectangular diagonal line and a side n of a distorted square, the one having a short distance to the center position (x, y) is defined as z, a boundary condition calculation unit calculates a boundary condition (n) for the side n on the basis of the relational expression satisfied by (x, y, z). A solution candidate calculation unit calculates, as the solution candidate n, the smaller one of the maximum z satisfying the boundary condition for every sides other than the side n and z satisfying the boundary condition for the side n at (x, y) at that time, for each side of the distorted square. An optimal solution selection unit selects the solution candidate giving the largest z as the optimal solution. |
