<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a filamentous adhesive generating between a blade and a paper bundle when removing the adhesive by the blade from both ends of the back face of the paper bundle.SOLUTION: An adhesive application device 10 comprises: an application roller 2 for applying an adhesive G to the back face PSa of a paper bundle PS; a blade 4 which is relatively displaced to the back face of the paper bundle to remove the adhesive from both ends of the back face; and a take-up roller 15 for collecting a filamentous adhesive GS generating between the blade and the paper bundle after removing the adhesive. After a part of the adhesive on the back face of the paper bundle is removed by the blade, the filamentous adhesive may be sometimes elongated and remain between the paper bundle and the blade that move apart from each other, however, the adhesive application device can collect it so as to improve the external appearance of the completed booklet.</p> |
