<p>The capacitive coupled electrode is comprised of insulation, metal and dielectric layers which are polymer based composites, such that the electrode is flexible and self-adhesive. This capacitive electrode uses nanostructures of suitable metal composition, deposited over a thin layer of suitable dielectric material with high dielectric constant, which can be placed over the skin surface, to capacitively couple bio-potentials to the metal layer. It results in higher coupling capacitance value of the electrode due to large specific surface area of nanostructures and thin layer of dielectric material composition with high dielectric constant. Following invention is described in detail with the help of Figure 4 of sheet 2 showing experimental setup for proposed electrode.</p> |
