This invention describes blended leather fabric and a process for the preparation thereof. Disclosed herein blended leather fabric comprising 10-90% leather fiber reconstituted into blended material with other conventional fabric. It provides an opportunity for utilization of the solid leather wastes generated by tanneries in the form of leather blended fabrics to make value added consumer items of low price range. A process which involves a series of mechanical operations, for the preparation of the blended fabric is also disclosed. The blended fabric can be used for the preparation of suiting and shirting; dress materials, winter wear.
