摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which enables the enhancement in battery performance by forming SEI (protective coating) of high quality (i.e. uniform in coating thickness in a thickness direction of a negative electrode active material layer).SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a negative electrode slurry used for forming a negative electrode includes an additive agent for SEI formation, such as vinylene carbonate or sulfonic acid ester. Neither electrolyte, nor a positive electrode slurry used for forming a positive electrode includes the additive agent for SEI formation. In a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the additive agent for SEI formation includes a compound, of which the reductive decomposition is caused on lithium metal at a potential higher than 0.2 V, and accounts for 0.5-2.0 mass% to the total amount of solid contents of the negative electrode slurry.
