<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing which is able to account for vibrations in end clearance.SOLUTION: A thrust bearing system comprises: a stationary bearing housing; a movable bearing at least partially disposed within the bearing housing, the bearing being movable between a first retracted position and a second extended position; a fluid cavity formed between the bearing housing and a bearing retainer; and at least one fluid passageway extending through the stationary bearing housing, the fluid passageway having a first end at an exterior surface of the bearing housing and a second end in fluid communication with the fluid cavity.</p> |
