PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and a projector that can improve the efficiency of use of light.SOLUTION: A light source device includes a phosphor layer provided on a substrate, dichroic mirrors provided on the side faces of the phosphor layer, a reflection part provided on the bottom face of the phosphor layer, and an excitation light source irradiating the phosphor layer with excitation light. An area irradiated with the excitation light in plan view includes a fluorescent light emission area and the area outside thereof, and the excitation light enters the phosphor layer at least from the side face. |
