An objective of the present invention is to output blood pressure information from a living body without being in contact with the living body. Provided are: a cardiac pulse waveform measurement device provided with a cardiac pulse waveform information acquisition unit which optically acquires cardiac pulse waveform information from a body part and a cardiac pulse waveform feature quantity computation unit which computes a cardiac pulse waveform feature quantity on the basis of the cardiac pulse waveform information; a portable device provided with the cardiac pulse waveform measurement device and a display which displays attribute information and/or health information; a medical system provided with the cardiac pulse waveform measurement device and a medical device which is controlled on the basis of the health information; and a vital sign information communication system employing the cardiac pulse waveform measurement device.
