The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fluorinated macroinitiator, particularly a fluorinated macroinitiator which enables the production of a fluorinated block copolymer that contains a non-fluorinated vinyl monomer having a long side chain. The fluorinated macroinitiator according to the present invention comprises a polymer represented by general formula (1) and having a number average molecular weight of 3,000 to 100,000. In general formula (1), R2, R3 and R4 independently represent a specific group, and Q represents a polymer segment comprising a structural unit represented by general formula (2). In general formula (2), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, Rf represents a fluoroalkyl group having a specific structure, and k represents an adequate integer that is not 0. |
