The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gel-like hemostatic material which is produced using a self-assembling peptide and has higher strength compared with the conventional hemostatic materials. A hemostatic material which comprises a gel made from an aqueous solution containing a self-assembling peptide, wherein the storage modulus of the gel is 350 to 3000 Pa at 37°C as measured using a rotary rheometer.
