<p>A telescopic steering device outer column is provided with a slit formed in a body part, and a pair of pinched plate portions pinching the slit from both sides in a width direction. The slit includes a main slit portion and a cut-out portion at one slit end portion of the main slit portion, the cut-out portion having a size with respect to a circumferential direction greater than the size of the main slit portion with respect to the circumferential direction and having a longitudinal direction in the circumferential direction or an axial direction. Across an outer peripheral surface and an end portion on the slit end portion side of at least one of the pinched plate portions, a reinforcement rib is provided along the longitudinal direction of the cut-out portion.</p> |
