The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof which includes the steps of: forming a bottom substrate with a first alignment layer; forming a top substrate with a second alignment layer; bonding the top and bottom substrates; injecting a mixture including a monomer and a liquid crystal between the bottom substrate and the top substrate; forming a polymer partition by polymerizing the monomer by emitting first light; and aligning the first alignment layer or the second alignment layer by emitting second light to the bottom substrate or the top substrate which are bonded.
