The present invention pertains to a liquid crystal composition and comprises: an antioxidant for a liquid crystal composition, said antioxidant including a compound represented by general formula (II-1); and the liquid crystal composition which includes the compound represented by general formula (II-1) as a first component and further includes a compound represented by general formula (K) as a second component. The compound represented by general formula (II-1) imparts an operational effect as the antioxidant, and therefore it is possible to provide the liquid crystal composition which includes the antioxidant and has more reliable low temperature stability, and the like, while maintaining high dielectric anisotropy. |
