Provided is an oxide superconducting wire material that is provided with an oxide superconducting laminate body comprising: an intermediate body which includes a tape-shaped base material, an intermediate layer formed on the main surface of the base material, and an oxide superconducting layer formed on the intermediate layer; and a protective layer formed on the intermediate body. The average film thickness Tave of the protective layer is 0.1 to 5μm, and the ratio (Tσ/Tave) of the standard deviation Tσ of the film thickness of the protective layer to the average film thickness Tave is 0.4 or less. |
