The allowable current value of a cell string (ST1) is greater than the allowable current value of a cell string (ST21a). In addition, the size of a load (LD1) changes dynamically. Power lines (LN11, LN12) connect the plus terminal and the minus terminal of the cell string (ST1), respectively, to the plus-side terminal and the minus-side terminal of the load (LD1). Power lines (LN21a, LN22a) connect the plus terminal and the minus terminal of the cell string (ST21a), respectively, to the plus-side terminal and the minus-side terminal of the load (LD1). The amount of current flowing through the power lines (LN21a, LN22a) is limited by a current limiting circuit (12a).
