PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the intrusion of hydrogen into a steel material in contact with water outdoors.SOLUTION: To a steel material 101 in contact with water 102 outdoors, an electrode 103 comprising a predetermined metal showing a potential nobler than Fe is connected (first step). For example, a lead wire 104 may be used to connect between the steel material 101 and electrode 103. Then, the electrode 103 is brought into contact with the water 102 in contact with the steel material 101 (second step). By bringing the electrode 103 into contact with the water 102, a potential difference between the steel material 101 and electrode 103 inhibits the intrusion of hydrogen into the steel material 101. |
