PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disconnection of a wire, by eliminating a region where discharge machining progresses while an ingot holding part and an ingot of raw materials different from each other mixedly exist, while holding the ingot so as to prevent fall of the ingot.SOLUTION: A holding device used in discharging process in which an ingot is sliced at intervals of wires provided in parallel, comprises: a holding part that holds the ingot so as to prevent fall of the ingot from the holding device; and an electric conduction part that is electrically conducted with the ingot such that current flows in the ingot. Additionally, in a place where the wire and the holding part do not collide with each other, the holding part is arranged. In a place where the slice processing of the ingot by the wire is finished, the electric conduction part is arranged. A shape of a face of a portion that comes into contact with the place where the slice machining of the ingot of the electric conduction part is finished, is made identical to a shape of a face opposite to the ingot slice processed face. |
