In the present invention, a video processing unit (5) generates a first video signal, and a video output unit (6) generates a second video signal. When in a first mode, an imaging unit (3) is exposed to light in a corresponding manner to each one-frame period of the second video signal, whereas when in a second mode, the imaging unit is exposed to light under different imaging conditions during multiple sections divided of the one-frame period of the second video signal. When in a first mode, the video processing unit (5) generates frames for the first video signal on the basis of imaging signals that are read in a corresponding manner to the exposures corresponding to the respective one-frame periods, whereas when in a second mode, the video processing unit generates frames for the first video signal on the basis of imaging signals that are read in a corresponding manner to the exposures during the respective sections. The video output unit (6) converts the second video signal into a signal format that is common to the first mode and second mode and continuously outputs frames for the second video signal. |
