PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive current lead capable of suppressing an edge wise bending strain generated when placed in a magnetic field and preventing the degradation of superconducting properties (e.g., a critical current value Ic) resulting from edge wise bending strain.SOLUTION: The superconductive current lead comprises: a tape-shaped superconducting wire rod having an intermediate layer, a superconductive layer, and a stabilization layer sequentially stacked on a metal substrate; first and second metal electrodes joined with both ends of the superconducting wire rod; a reinforcing member for housing a lead body including the superconducting wire rod, the first and second metal electrodes in a state in which the lead body is positioned; and a bending strain prevention plate for controlling a bending strain generated in the width direction of the superconducting wire rod when Lorentz force acts in the width direction of the superconducting wire rod.
