<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient production method for copper-carbon fiber composite in which carbon fibers are grown from the surface of copper alloy particles.SOLUTION: The production method for copper-carbon fiber composite comprises: a step of preparing a copper alloy particle comprising at least one transition metal belonging to the periodic table Groups 8 to 10; a first CVD step in which the copper alloy particle is, by a CVD method, heated up while supplying a carbon-containing gas that is to become a raw material for making carbon hydride; a step of heat-treating the copper alloy particle under a nitrogen atmosphere after the first CVD step; and a second CVD step in which a carbon source is contacted to the surface of the heat-treated copper alloy particle by the CVD method to grow carbon fiber from the surface of the copper alloy particle.</p> |
