The present invention describes peptides, a method and a kit for the immunodiagnosis of leishmaniasis, a disease caused by protozoa of the Leishmania genus, either the infection and/or the disease, in human beings and/or dogs. The invention relates to the synthesis and use of peptides derived from B cell epitopes for identifying people and animals infected with visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis, and aims at developing a diagnostic method and kit having higher specificity, allowing the reactivity of serological tests to be improved. |
