PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight light irradiation device which does not use a harmful ray (ultraviolet ray), and which can be used over a long period of time as a way to show the presence of a bicycle during the night.SOLUTION: A light accumulation member is caused to accumulate light (is excited) by a purple LED having a peak emission wavelength in a visible light range using an existing AC generator for a bicycle as a power source without using an LED for emitting an ultraviolet ray. The light emitting part 14 is provided for irradiating light to the light accumulation member attached to a part that rotates together with a wheel, and light is emitted in a wheel shape in conjunction with the rotation of the wheel. Use of a light accumulation tape as well further contributes to the safety. Since battery exchange is not necessary, the device of the invention can be mounted on all bicycles having generators and can be used permanently. |
