PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a canola protein isolation material useful for a culture from canola oil seed coarse powders.SOLUTION: The method comprises solubilizing proteins in canola oil seed coarse powders, forming a protein solution with a protein content of 5-40 g/L, and pH of 5-6.8, separating a canola protein solution, subsequently increasing a protein concentration to at least 50 g/L, while keeping ionic strength substantially constant using membrane-selection technique, and drying the concentrated protein solution to obtain a canola protein isolation material with a protein content of at least 90 wt.% (N×6.25) (dry weight basis). |
