In order to suppress noise occurring due to an acoustic feedback phenomenon and the generation of air column resonance in a pressure reduction device wherein multiple stages of orifice plates are provided in a flow path, this pressure reduction device (10A) is formed of an upstream orifice plate (14), which is provided in a pipe (12) that forms a flow path for a fluid (F), and a downstream orifice plate (16), which is provided in the flow path downstream from the upstream orifice plate (14). A jet flow interference part (22A), which is configured so as to interfere with the jet flow emitted from an orifice (18) of the upstream orifice plate (14), is provided only on a portion of the outlet peripheral edge of the orifice (18). Noise is suppressed by changing the positions of Karman vortices (e) in the axial direction of the pipe for the region in which the jet flow interference part (22A) is arranged and for the region (r) where the jet flow interference part (22A) is not arranged. |
