A display panel and a display panel preparation method, wherein areas where two sides of a first angle (2) of a display area (1) are located are set as non-wiring areas, and areas where two sides of a second angle (3) of the display area (1) in a diagonal direction of the first angle (2) are located are set as wiring areas. Peripheral wiring (4) and peripheral layout of the display panel are arranged in a wiring area where at least one side of the two sides of the second angle (3) is located. Thus, by using only one photo-mask plate, display screens of different sizes can be prepared, development and production costs of a display panel product can be saved, and development and design time of the display panel product is shortened.
