<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method capable of individually identifying a passerby in a gate device for performing gate control by human body communication.SOLUTION: A gate device is configured to determine the position of a passerby in accordance with sensor information for detecting a gate passerby, and to output a connection confirmation request packet via an electrode for human body communication corresponding to the determined position, and to receive a connection confirmation response packet to be transmitted from a human body communication terminal held by the passerby to perform analysis processing, and to execute processing for controlling the opening/closing of a gate opening/closing part based on the analytic result. A control unit stores the output electrode identifier of a packet output electrode in a connection confirmation request packet, and determines whether or not the output electrode identifier is coincident with the electrode identifier of the reception electrode of the connection confirmation response packet, and performs authentication processing for gate open when it is determined that those electrode identifiers are coincident.</p> |
