1. A method of treating a disease or disorder characterized by abnormal bone or mineral homeostasis, which comprises the administration to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of a compound of formula (I):wherein:
R1 and R5 are independently selected from the group consisting of H and halogen; R2, R3 and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, halogen and J-K wherein:
J is a covalent bond, alkylene or alkenyl; and K is selected from the group of CO2R8, wherein R8 is H or alkyl; R6 is selected from the group consisting of H and alkyl; and R7 is selected from the group consisting of aryl, fused aryl, dihydro, tetrahydro fused aryl, and heteroaryl, unsubstituted or substituted with any substituent selected from the group consisting of OH, halogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4alkoxy, C3-6 cycloalkyl, CF3, OCF3, CN and NO2,or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or complex thereof. |
