Provided is a gate drive circuit, wherein the gate drive circuit is connected to a row pixel unit and the row pixel unit comprises a row pixel drive module and a light-emitting element that are mutually connected. The row pixel drive module comprises a drive transistor (T1), a drive module and a compensation module. The compensation module connects in a gate scanning signal and the drive module connects in a drive level. The gate drive circuit also comprises a row pixel control unit, which is used for providing the gate scanning signal for the compensation module and providing the drive level for the drive module so as to control the compensation module to compensate a threshold voltage of the drive transistor (T1) and control the drive module to drive the light-emitting element. Also provided are a gate drive method, a gate on array circuit and a display apparatus.
