REINFORCING MEANS FOR SILHOUETTE FACE LIFT SUTURES

Silhouette (TM) face-lift sutures with reinforcing threads silhouette (TM) face-lift sutures are reinforced using one or more small pieces of absorbable surgical thread (1) which each contain an upper hole (2) and lower hole (3). Each thread is threaded onto the suture, located between two cones of the suture and its lower end is fixed to a knot of the suture whilst the upper end remains free to slide so that when the suture is pulled a cone pushes down the movable end to form a knot which grasps the tissues. The thread may be a pear- shaped piece of tape. Multiple threads may be applied to a single suture. Also disclosed are various needles for inserting the sutures.
