The present invention describes a cyclic method which efficiently integrates CO2 capture and the conversion thereof into carbonates, with low energy consumption. The method uses industrial and urban waste rich in cations of metals selected from the group M, which comprises Ca2+, Mg2+, Ba2+, Sr2+, Pb2+, Fe2+ and Cd2+, to produce carbonates of the respective cations and regenerate the reagents. The main features of this invention are the complete regeneration of the reagents, the efficient precipitation of carbonates without requiring pH adjustment, and the production of high-purity carbonates. |
