PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a flame retardant aqueous resin composition which shows high flame retardancy without using a halogen-based flame retardant, a textile product obtained from which shows excellent feeling, and which has excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a flame retardant aqueous resin composition comprising, relative to 100 pts.wt (solid content) of a synthetic emulsion (a), 10 to 500 pts.wt (solid content) of a polyphosphate (b), and 0.5 to 10 pts.wt (solid content) of a surfactant (c), where a total content of sodium and potassium in the synthetic emulsion (a) is 5000 ppm or less relative to the solid content of the synthetic emulsion. The surfactant (c) is added except during the polymerization step. Also provided is a method for producing a flame retardant resin composition where the polyphosphate (b) is a polyphosphate not coated with a resin. |
