Provided are a coloring composition having excellent colorfastness and a cured film using the same, a color filter, a pattern formation method, a method for manufacturing a color filter, a solid-state imaging element, and an image display device. A coloring composition containing a pigment multimer including (a) repeating units having a pigment structure and (b) repeating units having, in side chains thereof, a group comprising 2-20 repetitions of an unsubstituted alkyleneoxy chain.
