The present invention relates to a motor driving device and an air conditioner including the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the motor driving device comprises: a rectifying unit rectifying input alternating current power source; a boost converter increasing power rectified from the rectifying unit and outputting the same; and an inverter having a plurality of switching elements and outputting the converted alternating current power source to a motor by using the voltage from the boost converter. Accordingly, the motor driving device using a capacitor of low capacity can improve voltage availability of voltage inputted to the inverter.
