PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device capable of braking force that a driver intends.SOLUTION: An electric brake device includes: a brake body 37 having a pair of shoes 37a, 37b which are arranged inside a drum 4 rotating together with a wheel, and can press the inside of the drum 4, and an anchor 37c which holds and prevents the pair of shoes 37a, 37b from rotating together with the drum 4; and an actuator 30 which spreads the pair of shoes 37a, 37b so as to frictionally engage outer surfaces of the shoes with an inner surface of the drum. The actuator 30 has gear type operation conversion mechanisms 31, 33, and 34 which make forward/backward attitude change of the pair of shoes 37a, 37b correspond accurately to forward/backward rotations by a motor. |
