PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element that has high display quality.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystal display element that has a first substrate including a first electrode, a second substrate arranged opposite to the first substrate and including a second electrode, and a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and second substrate, where at least one of the first electrode and second electrode includes a plurality of openings elongated in a first direction and arranged adjacent along the first direction, and when the two openings, of the plurality of openings, adjacent along the first direction are observed, the opening width at opposing part of one of the openings is large and that of the other is small. |
